365 Pocket Morning Prayers

“This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.” ~Psalm 118:2-4

365 Pocket Morning Prayers, by David R. Veerman, is a beautiful way to start each day—talking with our Lord.

This adorable leather bound book contains 320 pages of page-length (or less) prayers in everyday language and simple understanding. It is larger than a pocket New Testament but still the perfect size to carry in my purse when I’m on the go (approximately 6” x 4”.) I keep mine on my nightstand and reflect on the day’s prayer when I wake each morning, and it’s easy to keep my place with the attached silky ribbon bookmark.

This book is unique in that, rather than devotions, it shares prayers to keep us focused on things of God, and reminds us that He is ultimately in control of our day.

Each reading is organized with the day (Day 1-Day 365) a description of the prayer (example: A prayer about TRUTHFULNESS – Being a person of my word) a one-paragraph prayer, and a Scripture verse (New Living Translation.)

The introduction isn’t something to be skipped over—you’ll receive a blessing from reading it alone—and a topical index is in the back if you want to search for a particular need or concern. And did I mention the gorgeous cover? Pretty Palm trees and seagulls are embossed on the front and onto spine of the soft leather binding. Makes a great gift!
