I love the premise of Love Letters from God: Bible Stories for a Girl’s Heart! An inspirational and fun book for young girls aged 4-8 that showcases females in the Bible and how their stories relate to the young reader’s lives.
The set-up of the various Biblical stories is neat and organized. Each section consists of two pages, including a Bible story, verse, lovely illustration, and a flip-up love letter from God. Each letter has a blank space to fill in a name to personalize it.
Some of the female Bible characters included are Eve, Miriam, Rahab, Deborah, and Hannah, (plus many more.) The section titles are uniform, stating the descriptions and bond they share with the reader, such as: The First Girl, The Thirsty Girl, The Happy Girl, etc.
I can’t give this book enough praise. It is adorable, shares lovely inspiring messages, and teaches Biblical stories that empower young women. The letters are an added treat to make the messages more pertinent and intimate, and the slipcovered hardback book is sturdy.
The stories are inspiring and the illustrations are detailed and colorful. An added treat is on the last page, where a blank flip-up letter allows the reader to write her own love letter back to God.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via Handlebar.
