Review & Giveaway #4 - Leaping Leah's Big Trip to Town

Winner: Lori!

Leaping Leah’s Big Trip to Town! is the fourth book in the Homestead Friends series, and my favorite. The illustrations are fun and the colorful and aromatic descriptions add so much to the story.

Leaping Leah goes on her first excursion in the front seat of Daddy’s truck. She takes in all the sites along the long drive, and once they reach the Farm Store, she tries to be her best as she cautiously explores from the front of the store. Leah is fascinated by her surroundings, and many of the scents she smells and items she sees remind her of her favorite place—home.

Focusing on behavior and restraint, this story shows young readers how even rowdy and rambunctious dogs can control their behavior when they put their minds to it. Even with the distractions and excitement, Leaping Leah proved to be a loyal and obedient part of the family, and her self-control paid off with praise and a reward.

Homestead Friends is a wholesome children’s series about homestead animal life in the Ozark Mountains. Each soft bound book centers on a different animal and circumstance, and shares a meaningful message.

  1. This is a sweet cover. This sounds like a wonderful book for young ones. I have a 2 1/2 great niece that would love this. It has animals!!! And when I can find a book that has both animals and a sweet teaching moment, well that is usually a winner and she really tries to emulate the animals. Thanks for the chance.
