Review & Giveaway #5 - Beatrice the Chicken's Big Predicament

Winner: Danielle!

Beatrice the Chicken’s Big Predicament! is the fifth book in the Homestead Friends series. Readers are introduced to new and charming friends on the farm.

With little time before she’ll be spending most of her time nesting her eggs, Beatrice decides to ask her friends for suggestions on what to name her chicks once they hatch. She gets ideas from Bubba the rooster, guineas, the homestead dogs and cats, and several pasture animals before returning to the nesting boxes and asking the other hens. Each of them had offered numerous suggestions with various patterns, and she realized she liked that.

Beatrice nested on her eggs for three weeks. She missed her daily routines, but it gave her time to think about names for the chicks that would soon hatch. With her appreciation for patterns, she picks the perfect names for the newest homestead chicks.

Beatrice and Bubba are fun additions to the homestead, and the repeating patterns and sequences are fun for young readers.

Homestead Friends is a wholesome children’s series about homestead animal life in the Ozark Mountains. Each soft bound book centers on a different animal and circumstance, and shares a meaningful message.
