Fiona and the Rainy Day (Children)

Fiona and the Rainy Day is an adventure story younger readers will enjoy.

Many of the zoo animals and people visitors try to stay dry under a large umbrella on a rainy day. Even though it rains hard, and there’s lightning and thunder, Fiona isn’t afraid. She explains to the other zoo animals (Flamingo, otters, Parrot, Tortoise, and more) that she enjoys rainy days because the rain makes the flowers and trees grow.

The illustrations are colorful and whimsical as the animals all try to fit beneath a single umbrella. And sweet Fiona the hippo assures them that good comes from the storm, as they all witness after the storm subsides and they see the pretty blooming flowers.

The Fiona series of first reader books is engaging, charming, and fun to read, and each shares a sweet little message.
