Devotions are a great way to devote quality time in Scripture and also to teach our children about God’s Word and ways.
I was fascinated with Kitchen Table Devotions and the author’s family-time inspiration for the book. And as an organizational freak, I especially love the alphabetically structured format used.
I even learned something fascinating (at least to me!) outside the devotional content. ‘Alphabetical’ worship of God is in the Bible! Who knew? Did you? For example, David’s Psalm 145 was written with each new line starting with a new letter of the Hebrew alphabet! My mind is blown. How did I not know that?
Anyway, back to the devotional. The book has two sections. Section one describes Biblical principles and creative and interactive ways for families to worship. Section two focuses on 26 attributes of God from A to Z.
I love devotional books, and especially like the uniqueness and structured presentation of this one. It makes learning and worship time fun, significant, and very memorable. Highly recommended.
